Safelists: What are they and how to use them effectively to build traffic, leads, sales

Are you using Safelists to build your Business??

First off let me explain what a Safelist is and how they work for those of you who don't know then I will discuss their effectiveness for generating site traffic.

A Safelist is an email list that you can join for free, and in return for joining you are permitted to email out to the entire list of members. Most safelist providers limit the number of times you can email to the list. Some safelist providers will allow you to email to the list more often if you upgrade to a paid membership.

We have found that the best safelists are those that work on a credit based system. Credit based safelists are fair for everyone as you have to earn credits in order to email to the list of members. The way to earn credits is to click on links when emails are sent out.

Safelists require members to join and agree to receive email and in this way they conform to anti-spam regulations.

The fact that most Safelists are free to join and use is an advantage for anyone on a tight advertising budget.

Now to answer the question, do Safelists work? YES!  We can tell you with 100% certainty that Safelists DO work. We use them, and we recommend them to our members as an effective, easy, low cost traffic generation tool.
NOTE: There are some things that will definitely INCREASE your effectiveness in getting results when you use Safelists, so listen up.

Here is what you need to know to get the best results from Safelist postings

1. Make sure what you are sending to the Safelist is motivating, includes an offer and reasons to respond NOW! You will get the BEST response if you include something for free or limit the availability of the offer. Example, do this by X date and you will get this X free!

2. If you have a dud ad or offer that does not yield a response, change it up, strengthen it, reword, add value, change your offer but do something to make it more compelling to the reader.

3. Mail to your Safelist when your target audience is AWAKE! If you are in the UK and
targetting the USA with your Safelist offer be sure to send the mailing when your audience is up and at their computer ready and able to respond to your offer. Early mornings and later in the evening is when you want people to receive your posting.

4. Make sure your Safelist mailing includes a way to capture lead information, your readers may not buy what you are offering today, but if you can encourage them to provide their contact information you have a valuable lead for future offers.

5. Landing Pages are VERY effective for safelist posts. Landing pages are a fast loading, eye-popping single page that usually includes an offer, and a lead capture form. If you can, also include a video player to get people's attention. Give people lots of reasons to read your ad and respond to your ad NOW!

Why A Blog can put money in your pocket.

Blogging is an important part of growing your online business - and a money maker!

What is a Blog?
"Blog" is an abbreviated version of "weblog,", a term used to describe web sites that maintain an ongoing chronicle of information. A blog features diary-type commentary and links to articles on other Web sites, usually presented as a list of entries by date posted. Blogs range from the personal to the political, and can focus on one narrow subject or a whole range of subjects. Many blogs focus on a particular topic, some are more eclectic, presenting links to all types of other sites. And others are more like personal journals, presenting the author's daily life and thoughts.

When it comes to building a profitable online business, this is why you should have a blog.
1. By posting frequently to your Blog, you trigger search engines such as Google to scan and index your site. Search engines are always looking for new content so they can provide the most up to date search results for their users. By posting unique content that is dense with they key words for your product or service, you increase your likelihood of being ranked higher in search engines and thus prospective customers finding your site. If your blog is a very narrow focus, posting frequently on topics related to that topic helps your site grow in popularity due to better indexing. Narrow focus blogs allow you to better attract your target audience. This is also part of something called niche marketing.

2. As your blog grows in popularity due to better page ranking in search engines, your traffic will grow. Higher traffic means a larger audience is exposed to your products, services and offers. A blog is a marketing machine. For example, if your blog posts are for product reviews, you can integrate order links within your reviews. Or you can include Ads within your blog at the top, bottom or side columns. These can be ads for your own products/services and/ or you can sign up for program like Google's Ad Sense. This is called Monetizing your blog. You authorize Google to place ads relevant to your content on your blog. When those ads are clicked on you as the referrer, earn revenue. You can also participate in YouTube's partner program and add YouTube videos to your blog. When those videos are viewed revenue can also be earned.

Keys to Blog Content that increases speed of indexing, ranking and traffic.
 -Post unique fresh content that is key-word rich (see below)
-Post on time sensitive issues, example breaking news, controversial issues, new product releases for faster
  scanning
-Descriptive title that include at least one or two of your ideal key words
-Post daily if possible, or as often as you can
-Integrate Ad Sense on your Blog for an advantage with Google
-Add YouTube videos for an advantage with Google
-Reviews and Interviews seem to be a favourite of many search engines, they often get scanned very quickly.
-integrate links to Social Media so readers can easily tweet, share or post your blog posts

What does Key-Word Rich mean?
Key Word Rich means this. Determine the words that people would logically use to search for what you offer. Then make sure you use use those key words within your blog content and ideally in your title. Don't overdue it, weave those words in naturally not with obvious repetition. Not sure what the best key words are? Type in the keywords at Google that you think are ideal, what comes up in the search results? Is this where you want your site to appear? What words are your competitors using? Review their listing and site to help determine this. You can also set up an Ad Words account with Google, you don't have to actually proceed with the paid advertising program they offer, but just set the account up and see if you can generate some key word intelligence within their program.

Today I learned about “Getting Free Traffic”...........

Today I learned about “Getting Free Traffic” at the Friday NOON `NetLearningAcademy` session with Janet Legere. 
Janet is an awesome trainer with 13 years experience in marketing.

Her method of “Getting Free Traffic” consists of following these steps:
            1-Join a program
            2-Setup your profile
            3-Put your member ID into the programs you belong to in the
              Downline Builder in that program.
            4-Then USE that program until it’s running perfectly for YOU.

THEN: Join another program, and follow the above steps consistently.

And so-on, until you can’t spend the money that is rolling in; :>).

Traffic Exchange’s:
>A Traffic Exchange is a program in which a member looks at another member’s
  website while a timer counts down a set number of seconds, for which the
  member receives credits.
            -Keep your active programs to 5 or 6.
            -Follow the 4 steps outlined at the start of this article.
            -After step 3,
     -Set up your website LCP [Lead Capture Page]
                 -Set up your Banner & Text Ads
            -Set up the Tabbed Browsing
            -Then, Browse 30 minutes-a-day.

Safelists:
>A Safelist is a program in which a member joins, then receives a email which they
  must click a link to verify they want to join that program.  It is called a `Double-Optin`
  Once joined, a member receives emails from other members, and must click a link in the
  email to receive credits [ you can also buy credits], so they can send emails advertising
  their opportunity.
>Most Safelists are Free-To-Join and Use.
   -If you Upgrade to a paid member, you receive many more options.
>You will need two email addresses [preferably G-mail]
    -one for Administrator contact, & one for list member contact.
>Follow the 4 steps outlined at the start of  this article.

Skype:
>Skype is a communication system used to keep in touch with people on the Internet.
>It can also be used to contact people using the landline system at much cheaper costs.
>If you are not aware of Skype, check it out here: http://skype.com/intl/en-us/home
>Use Skype Usernames, email addresses in Safelist emails to contact that person and add
   to your Contact List.
>This will help you build your lists, which you can promote your opportunities too
